Mindfulness is a state of being entirely in contact with the present moment. It means being aware, from moment to moment, of your thoughts, feelings, physical sensations and the environment around us. It includes discovering little things that you might not have seen before. The purpose is not so much about relaxing, but more on noticing things evenly. Two aware techniques which can be done everywhere are focussed respiration and body scanning.
